Founded in 1977 by Victor H. Vazquez Sr., Moctec was built on a simple mission: to produce fresh, authentic Mexican tortillas using traditional methods. After a career in military service, civil rights, and public policy, Victor pursued his entrepreneurial dream by creating a tortilla company rooted in the flavors and techniques he grew up with. Today, Moctec remains a family-owned and minority-owned business dedicated to quality, authenticity, and exceptional customer service.

Located in Manassas Park, Virginia, Moctec manufactures corn tortillas, tortilla chips, flour tortillas, and flavored wraps using whole-kernel, non-GMO corn that is slow-cooked, steeped, washed, and wet milled on traditional lava stones to create fresh masa. This time-honored process delivers the authentic taste and texture of homemade tortillas while preserving the quality and flavor that have defined the company for decades. Products are made fresh daily without preservatives, additives, or trans fats.

Over the years, Moctec has grown into one of the Washington, D.C. region's leading suppliers of tortillas and Mexican food products. In addition to its flagship Moctec brand, the company produces the Abuelita, Nana's Cocina, and Casa de Carmen product lines, serving retail, foodservice, and distribution partners throughout Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Delaware, New Jersey, and beyond.
