Nestled in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, Showalter's Orchard has been growing apples on the same land since the early 1900s. The orchard's modern story began in 1965 when Joe Showalter started farming the property and established a fresh market to connect directly with local customers. What began as a family apple orchard has grown into a beloved Virginia destination while remaining rooted in its agricultural heritage. Today, Shannon and Sarah Showalter, together with their children Ben and Ava, continue the family's commitment to growing exceptional fruit and creating memorable farm experiences for future generations.

Located in Timberville, Virginia, Showalter's Orchard grows more than 30 varieties of apples, carefully tending each harvest with the same dedication that has defined the farm for decades. In 1975, the family introduced fresh-pressed sweet apple cider as a way to make use of blemished apples, creating what has become one of the orchard's signature products and a seasonal favorite across the Shenandoah Valley.

Committed to keeping the farm sustainable for future generations, the Showalter family expanded their operation in 2010 with the launch of Old Hill Cidery. Using apples grown in their own orchard, they craft award-winning hard ciders that celebrate Virginia's rich cider-making tradition. The farm has continued to evolve, transforming its former greenhouse into a beautiful event venue overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains while welcoming visitors to experience the orchard through every season.
