This easy breakfast recipe is oat of this world! It serves one person and uses  Morganically grown (meaning more-than-organically-grown!) oat flakes and granola from a woman-owned business. For this vegetarian recipe, you will need a sealable container like a glass mason jar. With filling oats, cinnamon, and crisp apples this breakfast recipe is absolutely delicious on a crisp winter morning.

Here is how to make this recipe with purpose-fueled food that’s better for the prosperity of our planet and people.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup oat flakes
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup apple, diced
  • 1 lemon slice
  • ⅛ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp. granola
  • 1 tsp. honey

Directions

Combine oats and milk in a sealable container.

In a bowl, squeeze the juice of the lemon slice over the diced apple. Toss apples to coat in the lemon juice. This keeps them from browning overnight.

Layer the apples in your sealable container on top of the oats and milk mixture. Then, sprinkle the cinnamon on top of the apples.

Seal your container and chill in the refrigerator overnight.

In the morning, gently stir your overnight oats in the container. Then, top with granola and a drizzle of local honey.
