This easy recipe is a-maize-ing. Grilled corn is the perfect side dish for any summer barbeque or cookout. Plus, it is a Fourth of July celebration must-have-dish! Grilled corn can be prepared vegetarian or vegan depending on whether you use olive oil or butter. The measurements below are for one ear of corn, so just scale up as needed for your gathering. You can also add shredded cheese for a boost of savoriness, red pepper for a bit of spice, or lime for a refreshing boost to your grilled corn.

PRO TIP: Remove the husk and do not use aluminum foil if you want to grill, not steam, your corn.

Here is how to make this recipe with purpose-fueled food that’s better for the prosperity of our planet and people.

Ingredients

  • 1 ear of corn
  • 1 tbsp. melted butter (substitute olive oil for vegan option)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Remove the husk and silk and wash your corn. Pat dry.

Spread the melted butter evenly over the kernels. Then, season generously with salt and pepper.

Grill until the corn is browned on all sides.
