Sweet potato fries are delicious and frying them in the air fryer makes them an ap-peel-ing healthier option for a side dish. This plant-based recipe makes a great snack as well and serves two to four people. You can of course scale this recipe up to get more fries on your plate. Try pairing this winter treat with spicy mustard for a spicy and sweet bite.

Here is how to make this recipe with purpose-fueled food that’s better for the prosperity of our planet and people.


  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced into fry shapes
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • ½ tsp. salt


Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a mixing bowl, coat the sweet potatoes with olive oil and salt.

Place the sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket so that they aren’t touching. You may need to cook the fries in several batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

Cook for 12 to 15 minutes depending on your desired crispiness. Flip the sweet potatoes half way through.
