Delivering local food as medicine

4P Foods fulfills the prescriptions by delivering local food directly to the patients’ homes or community clinics.

Here is how our Food Is Medicine programs work:

  1. Eligible patients are prescribed produce prescription boxes by Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) or other Clinicians.

  2. 4P Foods fulfills the prescriptions by delivering local food directly to the patients’ homes or community clinics.

  3. Delivery updates are provided as produce prescription boxes are fulfilled.

  4. Our teams meet regularly to ensure an exceptional experience for all parties.

Based on program needs, we develop seasonal 10-pound or 20-pound produce prescription boxes. Produce prescription boxes are filled with locally-grown produce from our network of 200+ growers in the Mid-Atlantic region.
