Slow cooked pulled pork dinner recipe made with pasture-raised pork butt. A great meal prep recipe! These measurements make 7-9 servings and can be kept in the freezer for a couple of weeks. This year round recipe that can be paired with coleslaw, potato salad, or pasta salad for a balanced meal. Slow cooking the pork butt means it will fall apart and stay moist. Here is how to make this recipe with purpose-fueled food that’s better for the prosperity of our planet and people.


Ingredients

  • 2-3 pound pork butt

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 pack of locally baked hamburger buns, optional


Directions

Season the pasture-raised pork butt with salt and pepper. Place the seasoned pork butt in the slow cooker on low. Cover the pork and cook for 8 hours.

Once the pork reaches an internal temperature of 200 degrees Fahrenheit, remove the pork from the slow cooker and place in a pan to rest for 30 minutes.

Shred the pork in the pan. Strain the remaining liquid in the slow cooker to remove the solids and mix the liquid into the shredded pork.

Your pork is then ready to serve or portion and freeze for meal prep.
